                                        Ivory Coast

                                        What is your key mission?

I deliver lasting growth in the developing market I oversee. My job is to provide customers with the best quality of service and the best solutions as quickly as possible. I also inform them of the dangers of counterfeit products that are rife in these markets.

Was it a challenge for you to take on a region of this size?

I already had some solid experience coordinating technical and sales teams. The biggest difference is that the stakes are much higher. I work with a lot of customers in countries of different size and context. Certain major projects will need the involvement of Schneider Electric employees from many countries.

What kind of support do you have as the manager of such a large region?

I have colleagues both locally and internationally who help me out. We help one another, and there is a great pool of skills. As soon as a problem arises, you can always find someone to solve it. That makes a big difference when you enter a new environment at a high level.

What advice do you have for women considering a career like yours?

For a woman in a management position, it isn’t enough to get the job done. She also has to prove herself by consistently exceeding expectations. I would encourage women to persevere. When a woman succeeds at a high level, she opens doors for other women. That’s what makes it worthwhile.

Why did you want to join Schneider Electric?

It’s a well-known group. I wanted to learn new things and, at Schneider Electric, you get to associate with top-notch talent, both on the technical side and the management side. My work has really taught me a lot. I've also taken several training courses that have improved my leadership skills and personal development.
