Schneider Electric wins award for outstanding employee shareholder communication

On November 19, 2010, Schneider Electric received the 2010 Prix Spécial Award for Employee Shareholder Communication from the French Federation of Employee Shareholders’ Associations. Jury members Anne Lemercier (Counsel, Clifford Chance) and Hubert Clerbois (Associate Director, EPS Partenaires — represented by Benoît Beral), presented the award to Schneider Electric at the Actionaria investor fair held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.

Just one year ago, the Federation honored Schneider Electric with its Grand Prix Award for Best Employee Ownership Practices in the CAC 40 segment. This year’s prize recognizes Schneider Electric’s excellence in the field of employee shareholder communication.
The Grand Prize winners of the 2010 employee share ownership      Schneider Electric employees have a number of resources at their disposal for keeping abreast of Group investment opportunities. These include an information booklet, a website, a hotline and information meetings. Schneider Electric keeps employee shareholders regularly informed about investor relation activities and provides dedicated channels for conducting transactions. It also offers employee savings programs.
In 2010, Schneider Electric employees in 17 countries, or 77% of the total workforce, had the opportunity to participate in an employee stock ownership plan. Of these, 18,000 employees subscribed the offer. A total of €145 million was invested in the stock market and 2.1 million shares were created during the year.
