                          Sustainable Transport Day 2011

June 9, 2011 – Sustainable Transport Day 2011 at Schneider Electric’s Headquarter in Rueil Malmaison (France)

Schneider Electric will host Sustainable Transport Day 2011, an event organized by Agora Fonctions under the high patronage of France’s Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing

Transport alone is responsible for one third of the planet’s CO2 emissions. It is also an important component in many companies’ operations, in some cases representing a quarter of their carbon footprint.

The day’s objective is to share and pool expertise and experience in the area of sustainable transport, with three roundtables discussions on:

                          • Eco-mobility and the daily commute.
                          • The greenest trip is a trip without travel: utopian dream or tomorrow’s reality?
                          • Innovations and trends.

Sustainable Transport Day will be repeated each year in June, with the goal of informing French companies and employees and raising their awareness.
