May / June 2006: Schneider Electric's HOMES project selected by the French Industrial Innovation Agency (AII): energy savings of up to 20% in the construction industry

Schneider Electric's HOMES project, whose name stands for "optimised housing and buildings for better control of energy and services", has been chosen by the AII. Its purpose: to adapt the electrical distribution and control systems in buildings in order to optimise energy management. Its ambition: to reduce buildings' energy consumption by 20%.
Five other projects were also selected by the AII. The aim of this body, set up in 2005 at the request of France's President of the Republic, is to make industry more competitive by supporting innovative research programmes with high potential.
