I. CUSTOMER ENVIRONMENT / PROJECT CONTEXT

 

Customer profile:

Specialised in civil engineering and based for many years now in Algeria, CSCEC has been selected by the Health Department for the "turnkey" production of the new Oran Hospital-University Establishment (EHU).

 

Customer objective and constraints:

Located in Oran, the second largest city in Algeria with 1 500 000 inhabitants, this new hospital has recently replaced the former establishment built in 1883. It is one of the largest in Africa with 18 operating theatres and a capacity of 500 beds that can be extended to 1200.

 

II. SOLUTION IMPLEMENTATION

Installed power is 12 MVA. The electrical distribution network architecture has been defined so as to guarantee the safety and comfort of patients and provide an optimum technical and economic compromise.

The electrical supply of the Oran hospital implements high-reliability solutions while also reducing installation and operating costs.
