Solution in brief
  • The risk can be radically reduced with an appropriate surge protection coordinated system:
    - A type I protection: installed in the Main LV panelboard that conducts a direct lightning current.

    - A type II protection: installed close to the load to protect (less than 30 metres), which lowers the protection level and ensures its compatibility with the impulse withstand voltage.
